Modified Nationals has always been one of my personal favourite shows of the year, due to it’s wide variety of cars and also has a little something for everyone.
It was the start of Round 2 of the EMMA UK championship and as most of you are aware Saturday didn’t get off to the best of starts due to the awful weather but nevertheless some judging did take place and by late afternoon the sun had made an slight appearance, which allowed the judging to continue and to try and catch up for the lost time from earlier in the day.
We all had our fingers crossed on Saturday evening, hoping for better weather for day 2 and by Sunday morning it was clear to see we were rewarded with a glorious day of sunshine.
With over 70 entries for Round 2 it was a busy weekend for all involved.
The one thing I had noticed over the weekend was the large presence that the audio industry had at the show, with companies like Car Audio Security, Kenwood, Alpine, JL Audio, Dynamat, Cerwin Vega, Hertz, Audison and Vibe in attendance.
EMMA UK also had a section inside the main arena where they were running a giveaway worth an impressive £2500. Prizes were up for grabs from Alpine, Gladen, Ground Zero, JL Audio, Mercury, Vibe, RE Audio and of course ourselves. Rules where simple, just take a picture of the EMMA stand and upload it to the official EMMA-UK Facebook page. Winners were picked at random on the main stage on the Sunday afternoon by Adam Rayner, along with the lovely Girls from Vibe Audio, RE Audio and EMMA UK’s very own Megan. This was shortly followed by the award presentation from the weekend’s competing cars.
The next EMMA UK event is Round 4 of the EMMA 2014 Championship, held at USC (Ultimate Street Car), Santa Pod, August 1st-3rd, 2014
